James 1:5-8

I want to encourage you to read and memorize James Ch. 1! It's amazing and full of so much wisdom!!

Where does your loyalty lie? As humans, we will always find our way to worshiping the ways of the world, and wanting that more than living in peace worshiping God-our creator…it somehow feels easier…yet it will fail us 100% of the time.

There is no peace in worldly things, there is no satisfaction or feeling of contentment in keeping up with what everyone tells us we need or getting the next "thing" we think we want. You'll always be chasing something, and it will never bring you the feeling is joy or contentment or satisfaction you think it will.

The next time you get upset or disappointed by something, ask yourself if this is a worldly problem, and if it is actually worth your time and energy. God doesn't fail, and he won't fail you. There are things in your life he will take you through to help you grow, and maybe shut doors, you weren't aware that we're needing to be shut, but he will not fail you or disappoint you. The things of the world are just not worth your time and energy. You will never have enough. Social media is constantly lying to us about people's lives being more fun, more perfect than the one we are living, and people will fail you…you will fail your friends and family, but you know who won't fail you? Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. (Hebrews 13:8) Study his life, try to walk more like Him every day, and stop letting everything and everyone determine your worth, happiness and peace. Run to Jesus. Put him at the center of your life. When he's the center, you can't be brought down. There is incredible peace there. Love others. Encourage others. Pray for others. Be a light to the world. You are so incredibly loved. There's nothing you have done to make Jesus not want a relationship with you. Please know that. Put all the shame and guilt aside and continue your relationship with him today, building it more and more each day, or if you don't have one…start now. You are sooo very loved!❤️
